Entry #3 Feel the breeze

One Saturday afternoon, I realized that I desperately needed to go grocery shopping. After my realization, I got up, got in my car and headed to my nearest grocery store, Walmart. While I was getting ready to pay for my groceries of the week, I glanced to the side and saw a small, cylinder-shaped item that read "pure fresh" on the wrapper. I was instantly interested, so I added it to my shopping cart. Once I got in my car again, I reached for my grocery bag that was sitting on the passenger's seat. I stuck my hand all the way down and feel around for the small, cylinder-shaped item. I took it out the bag and began reading the wrapper for any clues of what I was about to experience once I placed the item in my mouth.

As I opened up the wrapper, the sound was loud, like crumbling of paper. The wrapper was thin, but not too thin, almost like the wrapping paper you would use to wrap a Christmas gift. It was difficult to unwrap since there were several layers of wrapping paper. But once I finally got past the struggle, I uncover a refreshing smell that was like a cold breeze blowing through my face. The item inside the wrapper was small like a coin and as white as milk. I picked it up with my hand and brought it closer to my face to get a sniff of it. I quickly removed it since the smell was very strong as it cleared out my nostrils. The smell was so strong that it made me sneeze. But I still decided to pop it in my mouth since I had already bought a whole package. I placed the small, cylinder-shaped item on the top of my tongue and felt it dissolve a little before I closed my mouth. I immediately tasted the spicy flavor and my mouth filled with a cooling feel. The item made my tongue numb and my breath exactly how the wrapper described it, "pure fresh". The refreshing flavor reminded me of my high school days, when I would pull out a piece of gum in order to distract my hunger right before lunch time. Overall, after analyzing every aspect of the small, coin-like item ranging from packaging to taste, I would definitely try it again whenever I feel like my mouth needs some form of refreshment.
